How to keep up to date

The News Section

The News Section of this OpsZone is a great place to keep up to date with all the latest from Scotty’s.

Monthly Email

On the first Monday of the month, Nikki (Scotty’s Founder) will send you an email. The email is a great way of keeping up to date with all the latest news, messages from the Families team, links to the grant application forms and information about the services we offer.

You can of course unsubscribe from receiving the monthly email, however, please bear in mind, this is the main way Scotty’s communicates with our Springboarders and you don’t want to miss out on anything exciting!

Springboarders Facebook Group

We have a private Facebook group for Springboarders to use. It can be a great way to make new friends, ask questions and find out what’s happening here at Scotty’s. It’s a hidden group so you won’t find it by searching but if you would like to be added, click for “Lorna Scotty’s”.

Springboard Council

The Springboard Council is made up of 12 Springboarders who help shape the programme and the services offered to bereaved Forces young adults. The Council are actively involved in helping us to make key decisions for the SPRINGBOARD programme and for charity. The Springboard Council works with our Members Council (for young people aged 11-17 years) and together they make up our lovely Scotty’s Council. If you would like to know more or find out how to be involved just send us a message.

Springboard 1:1 Sessions

Scotty’s offers support in lots of different ways because we understand that everyone grieves differently and not everyone will want the same type of support. Some of you may prefer to download resources, watch videos, listen to podcasts and use this website as your main source of support whilst others may prefer to jump on a group session or pick up the phone and speak to someone directly.

Our Springboard 1:1 sessions mean you can arrange to speak to one of our team directly. It doesn’t have to be about your bereavement either. You might want to speak to someone for a bit of guidance. If you need a listening ear, someone to bounce some thoughts around to or you are struggling with your bereavement at the moment, just reach out.

If you would like to book a Springboard 1:1 session please just get in touch. Just click the "Get In Touch" button and someone will get back to you to arrange a time to chat.
